We collect what we need to run your account and edit your videos, and nothing to sell. Here is the detail.

Terminal Clip is run by Khadija Naeem, based in Pakistan. You can reach us at support@terminalclip.cloud.
Account data: your email address, and your password stored only as a one-way hash, never in readable form. We also record which plan you are on and how many credits you have used.
Your content: the videos you upload, the edit requests you type, the edited videos we make, and the caption text. This is processed to do the edit you asked for.
Newsletter data: if you subscribe to the newsletter, your email address. We only add you after you click the confirmation link we email you, we send the newsletter through Resend, and every issue has an unsubscribe link.
Technical data: a login cookie that keeps you signed in, your IP address and basic request details, which we use to keep the service secure and to limit repeated login attempts, and error logs.
Payment data: when you pay, our payment provider collects your card or payment details. We never see or store your full card number.
To create and secure your account, run your edits, keep track of credits and plans, take payments, answer support emails, send password reset and service emails, and keep the service safe from abuse.
We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your videos to train AI models, and we do not show them to anyone except as described here.
We use other companies to run the service, and they receive only what they need. This includes an AI provider (Anthropic) that plans the edit, a speech-to-text provider (ElevenLabs) that transcribes the audio of your videos so cuts and captions can be made, an analytics provider (Google Analytics 4, only if you accept analytics cookies), a hosting provider (Hostinger) whose servers store and run the service, an email provider (Resend) that delivers our account emails and our newsletter, a payment provider (Paddle) that takes payments and acts as seller of record, and Cloudflare, whose Turnstile check on the sign-up, newsletter and password-reset forms tells people from bots (it receives your IP address and browser details for that purpose).
These providers process your data under their own terms and privacy policies. We choose providers that handle data for their customers' services and ask them to protect it. Some of them are in other countries, so your data can be processed outside the country where you live.
We may also share data when the law requires it, or to protect our rights and the safety of our users.
We set two cookies ourselves: one keeps you logged in and one remembers your cookie choice. Both are strictly necessary and always on. Our payment provider (at checkout) and our bot check (on sign-up forms) may also use their own technical cookies or browser storage to take payments securely and block abuse; these are necessary for those features.
Analytics cookies are optional and stay off unless you choose "Accept analytics" in the cookie banner. If you accept, we use Google Analytics 4, which sets cookies (_ga and _ga_*) and sends Google your page views, general location, device and browser details and the actions you take (for example signing up or downloading a video). We turn off Google signals and ad personalization. If you choose "Necessary only", nothing is sent to Google and we remove its cookies. You can change your choice at any time with "Cookie preferences" in the footer.
Videos and captions are deleted automatically after the retention period of your plan, which is shown on the pricing page. You can delete a video yourself at any time.
Account data stays until you delete your account on the Account page or ask us to. Deleting it removes your account, your videos and your brand kit. We keep a record of credit usage and payments for as long as we need it for accounting, tax and dispute reasons. Login sessions expire and are cleaned up automatically.
Passwords are hashed, login cookies are marked so scripts cannot read them, connections use HTTPS, and your videos are available only to your account. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your data, we will tell you as the law requires.
You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, export it or delete it. You can download your data and delete your account yourself on the Account page; for anything else, email support@terminalclip.cloud. Depending on where you live, you may also have the right to object to or limit some processing, and to complain to your local data protection authority.
We will answer your request within a reasonable time and may need to check that it really comes from you.
Terminal Clip is not meant for people under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you think a child has signed up, tell us and we will delete the account.
We may update this policy. When a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the app. The date at the top shows when it was last changed.
