Terms of service

By creating an account or using Terminal Clip you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, so please do.

Who we are

Terminal Clip is run by Khadija Naeem, based in Pakistan. You can reach us at support@terminalclip.cloud.

In these terms, "we" and "us" mean the operator named above, and "you" means the person or company using Terminal Clip.

What the service does

Terminal Clip lets you upload video, describe the edit you want in plain language, and download the edited video and a captions file. You can also cut the result by hand in the editor.

Edits made by the AI editor are produced automatically. The result can contain mistakes, such as a wrong cut, an inaccurate caption or a missed filler word. Please watch the video before you publish it. Manual cuts in the editor use no credits.

Your account

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to create an account. Give a real email address and keep your password private. You are responsible for what happens under your account.

Tell us right away at the address above if you think someone else has used your account.

Your videos and your rights

You keep ownership of everything you upload and everything we produce from it for you. We do not claim any rights in your videos.

You give us permission to store, process and edit your uploads, and to send them to the providers listed in our privacy policy, only so we can provide the service to you.

You promise that you own the footage or have the right to edit it, and that your upload does not break anyone's copyright, privacy or other rights.

What you may not do

Do not upload content that is illegal, that sexually exploits or endangers children, or that you have no right to use. Do not use the service to harass, defraud or impersonate anyone.

Do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service, get around credit or rate limits, or share your account with people outside your team.

We may remove content or suspend an account that breaks these rules, and we will tell you why when we can.

To report a video that infringes your copyright or that is illegal or abusive, email support@terminalclip.cloud with the account or link, what is wrong and how to reach you. We review reports and remove content when we need to.

Plans, credits and payment

Plans come with a monthly number of credits. One credit equals one minute of finished video, rounded up to the next minute, with a minimum of one. Credits are used when an edit finishes. Edits that fail cost nothing. Credits renew on the first day of each month (UTC). While a subscription is paid up, unused credits carry over into the next month, up to one month of the plan's allowance, and are added to a new plan when you upgrade. Credits do not carry over if a payment is overdue or the subscription has ended, and they have no cash value.

A free account has no AI edit credits; manual cuts are free for everyone. You can also buy a one-time trial for $2.99, which includes 5 credits valid for 30 days from the day you buy it. A trial does not renew, and its unused credits expire when it ends.

Paid plans renew every month until you cancel. Prices are shown on our pricing page and may change for future billing periods, and we will tell you before a change reaches you. Payments are handled by our payment provider, which may act as the seller of record and may apply its own terms and taxes at checkout.

You can cancel at any time. Your plan then stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for. See the refund policy for refunds.

How long we keep your videos

Finished and failed videos are deleted automatically after a set time that depends on your plan, which is stated on the pricing page. After that we cannot recover them, so download what you want to keep. Deleting a video yourself removes it at once and does not give credits back.

Availability and changes

Terminal Clip is early software. We work to keep it running, but we do not promise it will always be available, error-free or fast. We may change or stop features, and we will give notice of changes that affect paid plans.

Our responsibility

The service is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we do not give any promise about fitness for a particular purpose, and we are not responsible for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost data.

To the extent the law allows, our total responsibility to you for any claim is limited to what you paid us in the three months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits responsibility that cannot be limited by law.

Ending your account

You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account yourself on the Account page, or ask us by email. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or puts the service or other users at risk.

Changes to these terms and the law that applies

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we will tell you by email or in the app before it applies. Using the service after a change means you accept it.

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and the courts there can decide disputes, unless the law where you live gives you rights that cannot be waived.
